In Tropical/Western Astrology, I am a Capricorn. However, some would say that Sidereal Astrology is more accurate, therefore, you will find me playing in the field of Sagittarius.
Since this realm is nothing more than a one big, delicious illusion, I choose to not pick a side in the Astrology game. Just call me Switzerland.
With all things in this realm, there appears to be a polar opposite to Western Astrology.
Now judging by my posts of the past year or so, one can discern that I garner my knowledge/Truth from all aspects of who I know myself to be. I know my shadow side quite well, and whenever something arises from that aspect of myself, I breathe through it. Well, I do my best to breathe through it as well as temper the amount of judgment I place on myself. Well…
Lately, the energy known as The Great Abyss, The Void, The Womb of Creation, has been capturing my attention. This energy is also known as Tia’mat, Leviathan, and other human labels. Like with all clarion calls, I often wonder why a particular energy is making itself known to me. And you may be wondering what the hell this all has to do with the dark side of the zodiac.
Well, here is what a creative human, who may also be the author, has to say about “The Black Zodiac”:
…represents the evil side of the human creature. These demons are one’s inherent will and capacity to ultimately cause harm to oneself and others. This evil, however, should not be feared. Like good, it can be harnessed and turned into something useful.
… embodies the morbid traits that are as unique as each person. It is important to know, face, and nurture one’s demons in order to manipulate it for personal benefit. [source]
“How wonderful” as Maleficent would say.
Back to Tia’mat.
As I scrolled down the page of the source quote, found the Western dates surrounding my b-earth-day, I was not even remotely surprised to see the “demon” who had been chosen for me.
“You are the Leviathan; a monstrosity in a dark abyss. The great potential that you possess is locked away for good reason, but the mere thought of it is enough to strike terror, even in yourself. You fear your own demons because you know very well what they are capable of. But you are neither weak nor a coward. Your struggle to gain control is a victory in itself.”
Like I said, I know my shadow side.
Do you know yours?
